Welcome to the Middle States Division of the Association of American Geographers Website!
The Middle States Division is a regional subdivision of the Association of American Geographers representing members and geography departments in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico. The MSDAAG exists to advance investigations in geography and to encourage the application of geographic findings in education, government, and business. The Division supports these objectives by organizing an annual academic conference (held in the Fall); distributing an electronic newsletter; publishing an annual peer-reviewed journal (Middle States Geographer) and supporting student paper and poster awards and a World Geography Bowl competition.
Thank you to all that attended the very successful 2014 Annual Meeting hosted by York College of Pennsylvania, in York, PA. The meeting was on held October 24-25 at the historic Yorktowne Hotel and consisted of two days of paper and poster sessions by both faculty and students. And thank you all for supporting the constitutional amendment adding Puerto Rico to the Region. This opens an exciting new chapter in the history of the Division.
Our 2016 Annual Meeting will be held on November 4-5 at the Blair County Convention Center, in Altoona. More information about registration and lodging can be found here!
